About Us

The New Mexico International Education Consortium (NMIEC) is a cooperative organization of two and four-year colleges in the State of New Mexico who have combined their strengths and efforts in order to facilitate and enhance the globalization of their campuses. The Consortium facilitates joint programs that leverage and enhance the use of existing financial and human resources to promote international education throughout the state.

Its activities include:

• Helping colleges recruit international students to come to New Mexico for their studies in order to enhance the educational environment on each campus
• Increasing the participation of New Mexico students in international exchange and study abroad programs at each campus, by allowing all of the schools to share their international programs with students from the other member schools
• Developing and jointly coordinating new international opportunities for students, faculty and staff
• Encouraging the involvement of faculty members and other staff in international programs
• Jointly seeking additional sources of funding for international program expansion and increased opportunities for students

• New Mexico State University
• San Juan College
• University of New Mexico
